Sawyer Gedanitz — Mini Chowder Cup
Gedanitz was the top 2012 defenseman for the event. Gedanitz was electric with the puck on his stick. Elusive, smooth deceptive; all the attributes coaches love in a puck moving defenseman. Gedanitz has great edges, he left forecheckers against the boards and quickly broke pucks out. Sawyer showed some high-end offensive abilities on the blue line. Great movement on the blue line and a nice inside foot shot from distance. brought pace and purpose. He hunted pucks on the forecheck, arrived on time for bump‑and‑drive sequences, and showed touch off his hip to finish in stride. Gedanitz will be one to watch next year with the Toronto Titans in the GTHL.
