2025 Top Scorers Review

Next 1 Hockey gathers stats from multiple sources to provide ratings for players U12 through JRs. At the midway point into the 2025-2026 season we thought it would be a good time to put eyes on some of the players who lit up the score sheet the first half. About Next 1 Scoring; Our scoring system is purely mathematical. We factor in; strength of schedule, points per game, percentage of team points and age. Everything is relative to the data set, meaning each class/age has different players with different scores. We find the averages within those groups and adjust each metric based on a players ranking within the larger group of players. A mininum of 10 games played were required. *Not all players are included, we only added players with reliable data*

Drew Bate (2010)

January 3, 2026 • View profile

Prospect Score 11.58 #10 (North America U15) Top 1% PPG 2.15 Age‑Adj 6.31 Schedule: Elite

Bate is a fun player to watch. He’s a great skater and often dictates the pace. He’s dangerous off the rush, beating defenders to the net or finding a lane for a shot. Like most of the top scorers Bate is always around the net. When it comes to puck possession, Bate is relentless. He has a strong stick and outworks his opponents if possession is up for grabs.

Thomas Boisvert (2010)

January 3, 2026 • View profile

Prospect Score 13.95 #5 (USA U15 ALL) Top 1% PPG 2.26 Age‑Adj 5.18 Schedule: Elite

Boisvert is a 2010 center playing for Mount Saint Charles. Boisvert plays a 200-foot game, showing great responsibility in his own zone while still thinking about turning defense into offense. He is a crafty puck handler, showing great anticipation and pulling and dragging pucks around defenders. Boisvert can really shoot it, showing the ability to get shots off quickly from awkward angles.

Rui Chen (2010)

January 3, 2026 • View profile

Prospect Score 12.24 #8 (North America U15) Top 1% PPG 2.31 Age‑Adj 6.54 Schedule: Elite

Rui “Ray” Chen is an exciting player for South Kent’s U15 team. He’s a player we were able to watch live, and the video was just as impressive. Chen looks the part—he’s tall, strong, and skates extremely well. But the exciting part is when he gets the puck with speed. Chen loves to attack and does so with a high rate of success. He uses his long reach to get in and out of defenders’ triangles quickly. When he creates—or is given—a Grade-A chance, he scores often.

Parker Deraney (2010)

January 3, 2026 • View profile

Prospect Score 13.25 #9 (USA U15 ALL) Top 1% PPG 1.47 Age‑Adj 3.56 Schedule: Elite

Deraney is a left-shot defenseman playing for Fox Motors 15s. Deraney scoots—he is an excellent skater. He has an unpredictable skating style that is very deceptive. Deraney is dynamic in the offensive zone, displaying great movement up top with and without the puck. He was deadly coming down the left side on the power play, showing nice vision and a deadly shot.

Max Lappan (2010)

January 3, 2026 • View profile

Prospect Score 13.51 #7 (USA U15 ALL) Top 1% PPG 1.48 Age‑Adj 3.63 Schedule: Elite

Lappan is the third Honey Baked player to make our Top 10, with all three playing on Honey Baked’s top power-play unit. Lappan runs the point on that unit and does a great job making the optimal play with ease, using deception or skill when needed. When given time, he is dangerous above the top of the circles. Lappan has good size and uses it on both ends of the ice.

Patrick Taylor (2010)

January 3, 2026 • View profile

Prospect Score 12.43 #5 (North America U15) Top 1% PPG 2.33 Age‑Adj 6.56 Schedule: Elite

Taylor is a skilled forward playing for the Windy City U15 team. Taylor can rip it—his curl-and-drag is one of the best we’ve seen for this age group. Taylor is able to score from distance and through screens. Perhaps Taylor’s best attribute is his off-puck play. He finds soft spots and has great chemistry with his teammates. They run give-and-go plays often. It’s easy to see why Taylor was our third-ranked scorer for the 2010 level.

Easton Dozark (2010)

January 3, 2026 • View profile

Prospect Score 13.73 #6 (USA U15 ALL) Top 1% PPG 1.50 Age‑Adj 3.68 Schedule: Elite

Dozark is a right-shot defenseman for Honey Baked. He has incredible foot speed coming off the wall and gets to the middle when he wants. Dozark is offensive in all aspects. He loves to join the rush and can create or finish. He is excellent on the right flank of the power play. His edge work makes him tough to stay with, and his pull-and-drag is hard to block. His skating allows him to push up on forwards and still recover if needed. Dozark was our fifth-ranked skater in scoring among the 2010s.

Joseph Cullen (2010)

January 3, 2026 • View profile

Prospect Score 15.57 #1 (USA U15 ALL) Top 1% PPG 2.33 Age‑Adj 5.73 Schedule: Elite

Cullen is perhaps the most dynamic 2010 player. Before leaving Honey Baked, he racked up enough points to be our fourth-ranked scorer among the 2010s in North America. Cullen’s game is built on deception and beautiful edge work, perfectly in sync with his puck handling. Even with limited time and space, Cullen makes magic. Cullen is able to take players out of the play and use his teammates to create 2-on-1s all over the ice.

Ryan Beaulieu (2010)

January 3, 2026 • View profile

Prospect Score 13.77 #1 (Canada U16) Top 1% PPG 1.53 Age‑Adj 4.75 Schedule: Elite

Beaulieu is a heady defenseman who plays a 200-foot game. He has a ton of power in his stride, and he uses it to gain inside position with and without the puck. He shows excellent vision on the breakout and on the power play. When given any time, Beaulieu displays a deadly accurate shot. Beaulieu ranks very highly as our second-ranked scorer and the top-scoring defenseman for the 2010 level.

Dominik Stefan Domonkos (2010)

January 3, 2026 • View profile

Prospect Score 13.85 #1 (North America U15) Top 1% PPG 2.55 Age‑Adj 7.16 Schedule: Elite

Domonkos is a forward playing for Windy City. His elite production and strength of schedule have him as our top scorer for the first half. Watching the film it’s clear why Domonkos has already been tendered for next season in the USHL. His frame and skating are there, he has a ton of power and is physically dominate at 15 Only. Domonkos has great hands, the combination of speed, creativity and reach make him very dangerous 1 on 1.
