Sweeney’s smooth skating really stood out for Thayer. The 2009 forward was able to pick up pucks with speed and gain the opposing teams zone with ease. Sweeney showed a nice ability to handle the puck in the defenders area. With limited time and space Sweeney is able to push under sticks or pull into his feet to maintain possession. Sweeney can rip it, he showed a nice pull and drag shot coming down the right side of the ice.
